When Rocky fought his opponent he had the focus of 'the eye of the tiger'. When that song was written they couldn't have had any idea the significance it would take on when a new Tiger took the world stage and changed sports forever.

I don't care if you are a golf fan or a sports fan or if you think there is too much hype over this one particular athlete-yes golfers are athletes.

Tiger Woods is a force to be reckoned with. I could write a book about not only his accomplishments in the sports world, but also his accomplishments as a human being, but many books have already been written. In fact I wrote about Tiger in my book, "Breakthrough to Success."

Look at what Tiger does in terms of how you live your life. Could you stand up to the level of excellence that Tiger requires of himself? If you raised your expectations, do you think you would be performing head and shoulders above your competition?

I've always been a huge fan of his because not only is he a consummate professional, he has such intense focus that you can see it on his face when you watch him on TV. I have also had the pleasure of standing just a few feet from him on more than one occasion and watching that focus in person.

Over and over again I heard the announcers at the tournament talking about how nobody would believe this if it was a movie. It would just be too much of a fantasy and the whoever wrote a screenplay that played out like this would be laughed out of a movie mogul's office. I don't know if I've ever seen a movie or a sporting event with this many interesting characters and twists and turns.

Tiger is larger than life and his life is richer, more nuanced, and more interesting than any movie script. And this weekend he was Rocky, but he wasn't fighting an opponent, he was doing what his dad had taught him. He was playing full out because that's the only way to do it.

There were so many amazing shots from this one tournament. You can probably find them all on Youtube. But it's not about the shots. It's about the measure of the man. During the tournament some of his fellow golfers, who should feel really ashamed of themselves right now, wondered out loud through their pettiness and jealousy how hurt Tiger really was.

Tiger on the other hand downplayed his injury to not take the focus off the Open while he played through incredible pain that would have made almost any other player call it quits, especially when he was so far back that it didn't look like he had any chance at all of winning.

And yet, Tiger not only didn't quit, he forced a playoff and played another 19 holes on Monday. And then he made the impossible inevitable by winning...again!

Watching him play in the U.S. Open at Torrey Pines for 4 days instead of the usual 3 was a treat and at the same time painful. My heart ached every time I saw him wince when he hit the ball or when his caddy pulled him up by the arm when he couldn't get up by himself or when the pain of taking another stroke had him almost doubled over in pain.

And I wondered how he could keep going, where did he find the inner strength to focus enough to pull it out day after day?

Ironically during the tournament there was a commercial running with audio of his dad talking about how Tiger would never meet anyone else as mentally tough as him in his entire life.

He certainly proved his dad right that weekend. I'm sorry I won't be seeing him play the rest of the summer, but I know he'll be back next year better than ever because striving for excellence is just his natural way of being.

David Allen seems to be big on using 43 folders for his tickler file. These folders would be made up of 12 monthly folders and 31 daily folders. Let's say it is now January and I'd have all my daily folders behind the January folder. When a day ends, that day's folder goes behind the next month or February's folder. Looking at the 19th, I'd have the folders 1-18 behind the February folder at this point.

How does this work? Let's say I got a bill today that I was due on February 3. Since it's important that I remember, I would put it in the February 3rd folder. When February 3 arrives, I would look in my tickler file and it reminds me to pay the bill.

Personally, I am not a big fan of the tickler file for three reasons. The first reason is that it's really hard to remember to check. You'll hear people ask "how can I remember to check my tickler file?" The second reason is that it is not very portable. It's a bulky way to remember things as a they come up. The third reason is each month that you move the tabs, you have to figure out what day items in that month go into and file them a second time.

The tickler file is essential to your GTD set up, however, because you have to remember future items. If you have a lot of physical items then the tickler file is the way to go. In my case, I don't have tons of physical items and so here is my solution to the above problems with a tickler file.

How To Set Up A Tickler File

First, I put a plastic folder in my briefcase called "Waiting For" that holds all of the stuff I might need to remember to check on a future date.

Next, I created a folder in my email account called "Yahoo Reminders". You'll see this folder if you look at the image of my email folder structure in How To Set Up Your GTD Email. I then set up a filter for all Yahoo Reminders to go into this specific folder and not in my inbox for processing.

The last component is Yahoo calendar. I put any item I need to remember and enter it as an all day event. I attach and email reminder to it that sends me a reminder 2 days ahead of the day I need to remember it. As a second reminder, a text is sent too.

In the above example, the bill I got needed to be remembered on February 3rd. I enter the all day event on the third like "Pay very important bill" and by default it sends me an email reminder two days before it occurs. The actual physical bill goes into my "Waiting For" folder in my briefcase.

On the 1st day of February, I get a Yahoo reminder that reminds me about the bill that needs to be paid on the third and it goes directly into my Yahoo reminder folder in my email account. In addition, a text goes out as well giving me a backup on my blackberry in case I can't get to my Yahoo reminder's folder in my email account. I review my blackberry text messages every day and review my reminders folder too as well if I have access to it.

This system is an extremely portable and streamlined tickler file. Everything reminds me on it's own and I don't have to move items around in my tickler file. Email reminders are awesome to remind you of things you have to do and you have no idea how much this helps your productivity until after you use them. Another study in 44 patients reported that they found medical marijuana helped reduce neuropathic pain arising from a variety of conditions, including spinalcord injury and diabetes and was published in in June in the Journal of Pain.

The case study was conducted in the following manner -- the medical marijuana group was first instructed two puffs, then three puffs an hour later, then four puffs an hour after that -- from a single cigarette containing either 0%, 3.5%, or 7% THC.

The average pain ratings before smoking were 55 on a 100-point scale and decreased by 46% in both treatment groups and by 27% in the placebo group one hour after the last puff.

Analgesic drugs are often tested against experimentally induced pain. These studies have been conducted for medical marijuana as well.

For example, 15 healthy volunteers received skin injections with capsaicin in a study conducted in 2007 and reported in the journal Anesthesiology.

The Honda Riders Club was planning a ride to West Virginia. I had my new Goldwing fresh from the dealers showroom. What could go wrong? I had heard that rocks could be thrown by the front tire and damage the oil filter, but it was my first long ride and he belly pan I ordered aftermarket had not arrived. I was warned by a friend.

He told me about his relative striking a rock and having it strike the oil filter on the new Goldwing. I had also read about bikes being damaged from debris and had ordered a belly pan online. It had not arrived by the time we were leaving for West Virginia.

Our route was Manassas, Virginia to Marlinton, West Virginia. We had our hotel arrangements at a motel north of town. Coming out of Marlinton, We started up a hill, rounded a curve and there were rocks on the road that had fallen from the side of the hill.

The rock flipped up from under the front tire and hit the Goldwing, making a loud noise. It sounded like something had exploded. I could see smoke coming from the bike and had to get off the road and shut down fast.

I stopped the bike and killed the motor in a parking area for a business just around the curve. See the picture below. Having known of the problem and ordering a belly pan after reading about the damage a rock could do, I thought I could get this one ride in before my belly pan arrived.[I:1:J]

The rock put three deep grooves in the grey plastic housing that holds the fog lights. There was a big hole in the oil filter.

A passerby happened to have a tool I could use to remove the oil filter. The engine sump was almost empty. I had lost all my oil. Another club member offerd to let me use his bike to go find oil and a filter in the nearest town. I rode back down the hill and purchased an oil filter and 4 quarts of oil.

In the parking lot, I did a roadside repair and installed the oil filter and oil. The Goldwing started up just fine. I appreciate the fellow riders who trusted me with their motorcycle after mine was struck and also was lucky that the person who stopped had a screwdriver that helped me remove the damaged oil filter. We rode the last two miles to our hotel with no problems.

This is a simple mistake that can be corrected easily. After you have the 1st wing finished repeat the above steps but this time on the other side.Congratulations,you have made The Floating Dart.

The second paper airplane you will be learning how to create is The Flying Falcon. To begin you will need 1 piece of 8 " Inch by 11 Inch paper. It is a good idea to measure the paper with a ruler. That way if you have made any errors you can correct them immediately. Now you can fold the paper in half... Widthwise.Next, you will lay the paper flat again and fold the corners to the center crease. Your next step is to fold the top of the paper down to where the inside corners meet at the center crease. If you are not satisfied,repeat the above steps. Next, fold the paper in half but this time you will fold it Lengthwise. Finally, it is time to fold the paper to create wings on both sides. Congratulations, you have created The Flying Falcon.

The third paper airplane you will learn how to create step by step is The Rocking Gym Bird. To begin please use a ruler to measure 1 piece of 8 " Inch by 11 inch paper. Now, lay out a sheet of 8 " inch by 11 inch paper. Next, you need to fold one corner to the edge. Please do the same thing to the top corner. Now, fold the paper in half so the plain sides are out. If you are not successful the first time don't be discouraged. Stop go back and repeat the steps. Don't worry, your paper airplane will turn out perfectly. Next, lay the paper down with the point to the left and fold the wings on both sides. If this is not up to your expectations stop and repeat the previous steps. If you are satisfied and you are ready to continue fold a small wing on each side of the wing. You will be leaving the center fin standing.If you are confused re-read the last step and repeat it until you are satisfied. Finally, you will fold the center fin into the body of the plane accordion style. Excellent you have just completed The Rocking Gym Bird.

Please do not get frustrated and quit if the paper airplane is not perfect the 1st time. If you have any difficulty just repeat the step by step instructions for whatever paper airplane you are creating.

My Bloody Valentine 3D " Bootleg Movie Review

I have been hoodwinked by Hollywood so many times that it is ridiculous. Do you remember Jaws 3D? That had to be one of the worst movie that was ever created. I could have created better visual effects by farting in the bath tube. Needless to say I was expecting the same type of crap from My Bloody Valentine 3D. Boy was I wrong. I have to give this movie not one but two thumbs up and a punch in the face.

My Bloody Valentine was also social proof that movie dates and horror films go together like Whitney Huston and a crack pipe. I am sure from the aroma in the air someone in the theater forgot to go to the bathroom before watching the movie. As the old man waved the double barrel shotgun from right to left everyone in the audience began moving out of his way. When the tree branch flew threw the windshield you heard the crowd shriek as they were ducking down in their seats.

Normally the rule of thumb is that remakes suck. This defiantly isnt the case with My Bloody Valentine 3D. The brilliant minds behind this technology have knocked this one out of the park and right into the laps of the viewers.

I guess it would only be fair for me to give you a little warning. It is of the upmost importance that you use the bathroom before viewing this movie. Once the words put on your 3D glasses appears on the screen " all hell is about to break loose. From that moment on the majority of your time will be spent ducking pickaxes, dodging flying bullets, and darting out of the way of falling tree limbs.

Im not saying that the 3D technology is perfect. It is however leaps an bounds above what we are use to seeing. I am referring to those crappy 3D movies with the red, blue, and green registration off center. Then you had to wear a pair of cardboard glass with one red lens and one blue lens. The bottom line is My Bloody Valentine is the real deal. The powers that be have finally figured out how to actually achieve real 3D and allow the view to look cool while doing so.

I cant believe that I almost rapped up this review without mentioning the nudity. Thats right my friend this horror flick has taken nudity in scary movies to a whole new level. Normally horror films only gives you what I call peek-a-boo nudity. Not the case with My Bloody Valentine 3D. You get butt wiggling boob in your face giggling nudity. I could go on for a few more paragraphs describing it but I am attempting to keep this site clean.

I would like to take a few seconds to address those in charge of distribution and marketing for this film. I have a few questions that I would like the answers too. Will this movie be released on DVD? If so will the DVD be in 3D? If so will the DVD come with the glasses? Just encase I decided to keep my 3D glasses from the movie theater.

Ok its time that I take the gloves off! Lets get down to the real matter at hand To bootleg or not to bootleg that is the question that my readers want to know. I must say NO WAY HOMIE! This bootleg is worth the price of admission. In fact I think that we should all get a discount or at least an apology from movie theaters for over charging us for all of the other crap movies. I doubt if anything happens, it is just a suggestion.

Personally this movie is worth the cost of admission. I wouldnt mind paying the high ass price of $29.99 when it comes out on DVD or if it comes out on DVD. That is as long as it came with the cool 3D glasses.

These two excercises require good height and coordination and are also quite strenuous, but very rewarding.

You should have a safety net installed as part of your trampoline. Landing on the edge or missing the trampoline and hitting the ground instead can cause serious injury. A safety net is therefore highly recommended. Another good piece of advice is to do some stretching before beginning your workout. This will stretch and warm the muscles and lessen the chance of a strained or pulled muscle later on

Documentation Structure for ISO 9001 QMS

ISO 9001 documentation structure is outlined in the ISO 10013 Standard - Guidelines for Developing Quality Manuals. This standard recommends using a three-level structure. In practice, many companies use four-level documentation model that includes records. 4-level quality management system is shown below:

Quality Manual - level 1

Procedures - level 2

Instructions - level 3

Records - level 4

While auditing systems like the one above, I always asked clients about the position of their quality policy in this structure. If you start from a quality manual, how go you know what standard this manual should cover? The quality policy defines it and therefore it should be included into the structure:

Quality Policy - level 1

Quality Manual - level 2

Procedures - level 3

Instructions - level 4

Records - level 5

Naming your documents

Companies use various approaches to titling their manuals, procedures, instructions, etc. For example, one of my customers titled their quality manual as "Quality Management System Quality Manual." This very descriptive title does define the document, but does not appear to be efficient.

This tendency to use long titles and document identifiers like "Standard Operating Procedure" most likely comes from regulated industries. Even though I could not find a requirement for such title formats, many companies still use these apparently outdated and ineffective conventions. If a short name sufficiently describes a document, let's use it. I suggest streamlining all elements of management systems. Consider this and do not make your system more complicated than it can be.

Numbering your documents

It is not a specific requirement of the ISO 9001 or any other standard to uniquely identify a part or a document. It is perhaps a common-sense measure and a worldwide practice in any documentation system, to give a document or a component a number and a title, and to identify its revision level. As documentation titles, document numbering is an area for creativity and an opportunity for optimization.

A company had some 130 employees. They had two part number formats: one for procedures, another for drawings. Procedures used XX-XXX number format. Drawings were numbered as XXXXXXX-XXX. One of the drawings had a number 000022-003. Assemblers simplified the system and called it "twenty two."

One can certainly use these long-long numbers, but is it practical? So far I did not meet a single company that could justify such an approach. When I audited this client, the organization had less than 250 documents. There were no indications that the company will significantly grow. Therefore, to use document number format allowing hundreds of thousands of numbers could hardly be justified. The most unreadable part numbers I had to deal with was at a mid size company with 13-digit alphanumeric part number format! Try to write those in your audit report!

I hope it is clear that only when extensive part numbers are justified, we do not have other options. If you build helicopters or satellites, you, no doubt, will need millions of parts and therefore will need long part numbers. If not, make your life easy and stay away from all those zeros. The most practical system I worked with used a three-digit format for their part numbers. 202, 203, 204, and so on. Worked just fine!

Another debatable issue with the part-numbering format is part number designation. Some systems associate a part number with a particular part type. For example, 10xxx indicates a procedure, 20xxx indicates a drawing, PLxxx indicates a policy-level document, and so on. My experience with a number of medical device manufacturers has convinced me in the benefits of a "no designation" system. Three systems that used designation I have worked with have failed. Just recently, one of my customers reported that they ran out of range in their part-numbering format. The system allowed for assigning materials through a two-digit designator within the part number. When the system was designed a few years ago, needing more than 99 materials was not considered possible. Unfortunately, things changed, and just a few years later, the company needed more than 99 materials causing the existing part number format to fail.

There are good news and bad news. The bed news is that designation systems can fail. The good news is that there is another way of dealing with document numbers: no designation at all! Using such systems, you give documents or parts sequential numbers. Going further, isn't the part title the best identifier of the part? One company I know did not use part numbers at all - their procedures and instructions were simply identified by titles and a two-digit revision level.

There is a Japanese folk tale about the power of giving and it exemplifies how we can get the most wonderful of gifts when we're gifting things to others and are positive about what we have already got.

Here is the story.

Once upon a time, there was a poor young farmer. Everything he did in his life never seemed to produce any wealth for him. He was totally broke with no money, no family and no food. So one night he sneaked into a temple and sat by the altar and in desperation asked the Gods what he was supposed to do.

"I have always been sincere and industrious, but all my industriousness never became beneficial to me. Where have I gone wrong?"

He fell asleep near the altar just after he put the question. When he woke up in the morning, he saw in front of him one of the Gods he had seen in his dream, with a bright golden light around him. The God's voice reverberated in his mind.

"After you wake up in the morning, value that which you have in your hand and keep giving it fully to others as you move forward," the God told him.

The farmer was brimming with questions when he woke up but he tried to shake off his sleep and clear his mind of the strange but clear dream he had. However, he saw a bit of a straw in his hand. It must have remained on his clothes while he worked in his fields.

He was about to throw the straw away, but remembered what God had told him. Once again he sat down. Then he looked curiously at the bit of straw.

He sat still for a long time thinking what this meant. He had no clue why a piece of straw can be of any value to him. Then he saw a wasp flying around. It eventually landed on the tip of the straw. He caught the wasp and tied it to the straw with a piece of thread from his clothes. Now with a piece of straw with a flying wasp at the end, off he went on the path.

He had gone a little way when he found a small boy and his mother coming towards him from the other end of the road. The boy was weeping. When he said hello to the boy, the child noticed the straw that the man had with a wasp at one end. He stopped his weeping and wanted to have the straw. The farmer was hesitant to give it but then he remembered that God had asked him to value what we owned and also give it to others profusely. So he gave the straw to the boy. The mother was relieved as the boy stopped crying when he got the straw and the wasp. In return she gave the man three tangerines.

The man continued on his way. After a while he started feeling hungry and wanted to eat one of the tangerines. But he stopped short of doing it and remembered that he had to gift things to others, not give it to himself.

The farmer was going over a steep hill and on the way he saw a merchant sitting under a tree. The man had a wooden box near him. The farmer wished the man. He appeared to be very tired. He saw the tangerines the farmer held and asked him if he would give it to him. The merchant told the farmer that he was very thirsty.

The farmer was also quite thirsty having walked for a long time during the heat of the day but he offered all the tangerines to the merchant. The merchant ate the three tangerines and regained his strength. He was very grateful for the kindness of the farmer and opened the wooden box next to him. There were rolls of hand dyed silk fabric. The merchant handed him one roll, thanked him and walked off.

The farmer walked again and continued on the same path. After a while he found a river from which he drank water. He felt recharged. He went forward with more energy and a feeling of ease.

He walked for some more time but did not come across anyone else. He felt that the silk might be that which would bring him something good. So he chose to go to a town in the vicinity and trade the fabric.

But just as he went around the corner, he saw in front of him a band of fighters. One of the fighters who looked liked the head of the band stood near a horse that was lying on the earth. The farmer heard the leader talking to his men.

"This horse would not last long. We just have to leave it. Just take care of it and catch up." He jumped up on another horse and galloped off disappearing out of sight.

The remaining soldiers were left discussing what to do about it. They were reluctant to kill the animal but they did not have much of a choice. At last one of them took out a sword.

The farmer pleaded with them not to do that. He said he was ready to look after the animal. He said they can have the bolt of silk for letting him care for the horse. They agreed to the deal and left the place quickly.

Now the farmer stood there with a dying horse. He thought he might have made a mistake that after all he was not meant to be wealthy. Then he remembered something. There was the stream he'd just passed.

He immediately went back to the stream, took off his shirt and soaked it in the fresh water so he could give water to horse. He returned to the horse still lying there on the ground. The farmer squeezed the wet cloth over the horse's mouth. Very soon the horse began to respond and regained its consciousness, so the farmer pulled it up with all his might.

The horse finally stood up on its legs so the farmer could take the horse to the stream. As the horse took more water and ate some fresh green grass around the stream, it soon began to regain strength.

Now the farmer had a horse! They set off again together, this time the man had to run to keep up. The horse was actually leading the way. They ran together for miles. As the sun starting to go down, the horse finally stopped in front of a large house. As the farmer caught up, the horse pushed him with his nose to the entrance of the house.

When the farmer moved towards it, the gates opened and an old man came out of the house. The old man had dashed out of the house and he looked wan. He spotted the horse and the farmer, both just in front of the house.

The old man asked the farmer what it was that he needed. The farmer said that he wanted a place where he could sleep at night. The old man queried the farmer if he would mind looking after the house till his return as he had to leave for the nearby town on a pressing matter. He also said that it might take some time for him to return.

The old man looked as if he was in a hurry, so the farmer told him he can take his horse. The old man was very grateful about it and immediately left with the horse. As he left, he said something totally unexpected to the farmer.

"If I am not back in three years, this house becomes yours."

As you possibly deduced, the old man did not come back.

The farmer stayed in the big house for the remainder of his life with a land that yielded a rich harvest and had friendly neighbours. And he always remembered to give away whatever he had.

Want to Train at a Texas Jiu Jitsu School?

For someone who wants to learn the art of BJJ at one of their hometown Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools they must first figure out whether to train Gi or No-Gi. The term Gi means that you train in the normal Martial Arts Uniform like the ones you would find in most karate or judo dojos. It's a thick uniform that has pants and a long sleeve shirt along with a belt.

When training No-Gi you are training without the Gi and usually just wear a pair of shorts and a T-shirt. Some wear rash guards that will help reduce the chances of becoming infected with a staph infection.

People who train with the Gi claim that the benefit is that it helps improve your technique. Wearing the Gi makes it harder to get out of submissions because the Gi gives people something to grab hold of and makes you more aware and less likely to make a mistake because the Gi is less forgiving then training No-Gi.

Also if you train in Gi you get a belt which gives you the opportunity to earn a higher color or level of belts. Earning a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is not an easy feet and is not given out to just anybody unlike other martial arts.

To earn a black belt in most common forms of martial you simply have to show up and practice for a couple of years maybe 2 or 3 and you can easily earn a black belt as long as you memorize some moves. To receive your black belt in Jiu Jitsu it can take up to 10 years. In Jiu Jitsu you have to actually be able to perform them on someone who is fighting back.

The reason for training No-Gi is that it is more like what a real life fight would be like. If you do happen to get in a fight chances are that you are not going to be wearing your Gi. Only training Gi might not prepare you for a real life situation.

Also a majority of the guys that go No-Gi also train in mixed martial arts and when you fighting in the cage you will not be allowed to wear a Gi. Some people find the Gi rather uncomfortable and just don't enjoy to train in it and don't have any other reason for not using it.

Whether you decide to train Gi or No-Gi there is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu school that teaches in the style that you want.

It was rediscovered in the 1990s and has become a popular dive spot near Hurghada ever since. It is located around the Shaab Abu Nuhas Reef and is approximately 100 feet deep. It is one of the best dive spots in both Hurghada and around the world.
